Do you find it hard to change your life?
I know from personal experience. It took almost 40 years for me to recognize that I was stuck in People-Pleasing
I have been on a healing journey toward fuller inner healing and recovery from People-Pleasing. Along the way I completed a Masters in clinical psychology, learned from several mentors and, at last, discovered an evidence-based way of creating lasting and real personal change. I am a seasoned veteran of Christian counseling now after 40 years experience.

If you are seeking a healing path that integrates both psychological insight and Christian faith in order to gain the experience deep and lasting transformation, allow me to be your guide.

My clients who have experienced other counsellors notice a significant difference in my style and many have stuck it out to gain the experience of life transformation. One client, who was suppressed within a narcissistic family system, has escaped that and gained freedom and quiet confidence to be herself and to reach out to support others.

As a Registered Christian Psychotherapist with over 40 years of experience, I blend evidence-based Christian counseling with prayer, psychological wisdom, and trauma-informed care. Whether you're facing emotional pain, spiritual disconnection, or difficult life transitions, I will be there for you. I take great joy in seeing others gain healing.

🟩 The Depth of Work This Therapy Addresses

Many people seek this form of therapy when they feel their struggles go beyond ordinary stress or relationship problems. They may experience patterns that seem unusually persistent, as if something deeper is holding them in place despite their efforts to change. In psychological terms, these patterns may come from unresolved memories, family conditioning, or unconscious beliefs. In spiritual terms, some clients describe them as strongholds, negative influences, or burdens that seem to have taken root in their life.

My approach to therapy allows us to look carefully at these deeper levels rather than only working on the surface. This may include exploring emotional wounds, long-standing personality patterns, and, when appropriate to the client’s beliefs, the possibility that spiritual factors are connected to emotional distress.

In some cases, clients feel that certain habits, impulses, or emotional states seem stronger than their conscious will. They may describe feeling driven, blocked, or weighed down in ways that do not fully make sense psychologically alone. When a client understands their experience in spiritual terms, therapy can include prayer-based methods that are used in a careful and structured way within the counseling process.

For clients who request a Christian approach, I sometimes use forms of therapeutic listening prayer, in which the person reflects on memories, emotional experiences, or life events while listening for God's truth. The purpose of this work is to process emotional core beliefs, change one's perspective, and regain a sense of peace, clarity, and personal identity.

Some clients understand their struggles as involving spiritual strongholds, oppressive influences, or patterns that seemed to enter their life during times of stress, trauma, or major life events. When this is part of the client’s own belief system, prayer is used to help the person let go of these influences and restore a greater sense of freedom and stability.

This kind of work is always done with care and respect for the client’s psychological health and personal beliefs. It is not presented as a quick solution, and outcomes cannot be guaranteed. The goal is to help the person become more grounded, emotionally free, and spiritually at peace so that they can live with greater clarity, strength, and balance.

🟨 The Cost of Inaction
Not addressing your emotional pain can lead to:
* Increased stress and emotional distress
* Strained relationships with your spouse and children
* Loss of hope, identity confusion, or spiritual disconnection
* Anxiety, burnout, panic attacks, or a nervous breakdown

You don’t have to stay stuck. Christian counseling offers a proven path to spiritual and emotional renewal.

🟧 What to Expect
My therapy helps you move: From painful symptoms → to healing past trauma
From limiting beliefs → to transforming core beliefs
From a false self → to developing an authentic identity

You will experience how Christian counselling helps not only emotionally, but spiritually. This is therapy rooted in grace and truth.

FAQ Section

❓What is Christian counseling?
Christian counseling integrates God's love and truth with proven psychological methods. It addresses both emotional and spiritual struggles to support deep healing and transformation.

❓What makes Christian psychotherapy different from secular therapy?
Christian psychotherapy acknowledges the spiritual dimension of life and healing. It invites God into the process, seeks truth-based identity, and combines grace, love, and professional care.

❓How does Christian counseling help with emotional healing?
It helps uncover root wounds and limiting beliefs, bringing in God’s truth and love through prayer and guided self-awareness. This brings emotional freedom and spiritual renewal.

❓Do you offer online Christian counseling in Canada and the USA?
Yes! Sessions are available via Zoom, phone, or FaceTime for clients across Canada and the USA. These are effective and fully confidential.

❓What therapy methods do you use in Christian counseling?
I use EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Listening Prayer Therapy, and Christian trauma healing techniques — all guided by spiritual insight and client needs.

❓Can Christian therapy really get to the root of my problems?
Absolutely. My approach focuses on Christian therapy that gets to the root, helping heal childhood wounds, transform core beliefs, and restore your authentic identity.

❓What is healing prayer therapy?
Healing prayer therapy, or Christian Listening Prayer therapy,  invites Jesus into painful memories or listens for God's truth to deal with core beliefs. Clients often report significant peace and breakthrough as Jesus brings His presence and truth to past trauma.

❓How long does it take to see results?
Many clients experience insight and relief within the first few sessions. However, deep, permanent changes occur over a longer time as we engage with both the emotional and spiritual aspects of your story.

Working at the Level of Emotional and Spiritual StrongholdsMany people seek this kind of therapy when they feel that their problems are not only emotional or relational, but involve deeper patterns that seem unusually difficult to change. These patterns may appear as repeated behaviors, powerful impulses, chronic conflict, or a sense of being weighed down by something that does not fully make sense at a purely psychological level.

In my work, we look at problems from both psychological and spiritual perspectives when the client wishes to do so. Some clients understand their struggles in terms of strongholds, meaning patterns that have become established in the personality through past experiences, trauma, family dynamics, or significant life events. In some cases, clients also believe that negative spiritual influences may have become connected to these patterns, especially during times of stress, loss, illness, or emotional vulnerability and that Christian deliverance is needed.

Because of this, therapy may include careful exploration of when a problem first appeared, what was happening in the person’s life at the time, and what emotional or spiritual factors may have been involved. Clients sometimes notice that certain difficulties began after major events such as the death of someone close, periods of heavy stress, substance use, or situations where personal boundaries were weakened. In their own understanding, these experiences may feel as if something entered their life that continued to affect them afterward, and protection from spiritual transference is needed.

When a client holds a Christian belief system and requests it, therapy may include forms of therapeutic prayer used within the counseling process. One form of this work involves guided listening prayer in which the person reflects on a memory or life situation while inviting the presence of Jesus into the experience. The purpose of this prayer is to deal with core beliefs, release what feels attached to them, and regain a sense of peace, clarity, and personal authority.

Some clients describe their struggles in terms of spiritual oppression, strongholds, or influences that seem to have attached to their life and continued to affect their thoughts, emotions, or behaviour. When this is part of the client’s own understanding, prayer may help the person let go of these burdens and strengthen their sense of identity, responsibility, and spiritual freedom. To be clear, although this is a form of deliverance, it does not share the methods and perspectives of Christian deliverance ministries.

This work is always approached carefully, professionally, and within the client’s belief system. It is not based on forcing interpretations, and it is not a quick or dramatic solution. The goal is to help the person become more grounded, emotionally stable, and spiritually at peace, so they are less controlled by past experiences, unhealthy patterns, or influences they have carried for a long time.

Each person’s situation is unique, and results cannot be guaranteed. Therapy is a process of careful exploration and healing at the level of the mind, the heart, and the human spirit.
